You get paid. That’s the point.
You are the heartbeat of the room. Every host is paid through one of the most community-minded partnership models in the city.
20% of bar sales
Proportionate compensation for bringing business into the venue and helping create a successful night.
100% of door + 10% of bar
Every dollar collected at the door is yours, plus a cut of the bar you helped fill. Ticket sales cap at 200 per event — everyone past that pays at the door, subject to capacity.
50% off food & drinks
DJs and performers get half off personal food and beverage purchases during their event.

What’s in the booth
Pioneer XDJ-RX3 · Yamaha 12-channel mixer · 1 sub · 4 corner speakers · 2 projectors · house XLRs. No sound engineer provided, microphones can’t be guaranteed, and all other cables are on you.
We sell entry until your link is live.
Margolis reserves the right to sell advance guest reservations to your night up until the moment you provide your ticket link. Guests coming to our space shouldn’t have to wait on anyone to lock in their night, and we don’t want to miss a single opportunity for guests to enjoy our establishment. The moment your link is on file, every guest is sent to it instead — and you keep 100% of your ticket sales and all door sales, always.
Couch sales stay with the house.
Couch reservations are Margolis revenue for every event. Guests who purchase a couch with us have their cover waived and are added to the Margolis guest list for the night.
You still earn on their spend.
The $200 couch fee is Margolis revenue, no exceptions — but couch guests are still part of your night. Every dollar they spend on bottles and drinks at the bar counts toward your standard bar-sales percentage, same as any other guest.
Community is everything to us. We book people who want to build something real, not just throw parties — advertise thoughtfully, rally your people, and we’ll take care of you and your crowd. Open the section below for exactly when your money lands, and the full thinking behind how we book.
See when you get paid + our full philosophy
We view this as a true partnership model — when you help us grow, we help you grow. We are not simply throwing parties. We are intentionally building community.
We prefer to work with DJs, hosts, promoters, and collectives who genuinely want to gather people, create experiences, and build moments that feel memorable, collaborative, and intentional. Our strongest nights are often intimate, joyful, community driven, and rooted in genuine connection.
So advertise thoughtfully. Rally your people. Build something meaningful. We encourage hosts to go beyond standard social media posting to make their event as intentional, impactful, and successful as possible. When you bring love into the room, we will take care of both you and your crowd with the same level of care and hospitality. Let’s build something real together.
Quick answers
The nuances hosts ask about most, without digging through every section above.
When do I actually get paid?
Bar checks are processed the Thursday of the week after your event and ready for pickup at the bar — check our events calendar and swing by any time we’re open. Door sales go out via Zelle within 24–48 hours of your event.
Do I keep 100% of my ticket and door sales?
Yes, always — even if Margolis has already sold advance guest reservations to your night before your ticket link went live. The moment your link is on file, we send every guest there instead.
Why would Margolis sell entry to my event before I do?
Because we’re selling entry to people coming for Margolis itself — venue-loyal guests, not your specific audience. The moment your lineup, flyer, and ticket link are approved, we stop the presale completely and send every guest to your link instead. It doesn’t cost you anything: you still keep 100% of your own ticket and door sales. If you’d rather we never sell advance entry to your night at all, that’s available too — you’d give up your 10% cut of the bar and keep only your door sales. Nights catered to strict demographics — LGBTQ-only parties, guaranteed sell-outs with proof, private events, and similar — may request that no presale run for their night; Margolis reserves the right to deny the request within reason.
Do I get a cut of couch sales?
Not of the $200 reservation fee itself — that’s Margolis revenue, no exceptions. But couch guests are still your guests: their bottle service and bar tab count toward your standard bar-sales percentage for the night.
What happens if my night doesn’t hit the bar minimum?
You cover the shortage and forfeit payout for that event. Minimums are calculated on gross bar sales during official event hours — see the full breakdown below.
Do I need to submit a W9 every time I’m booked?
No. One W9 on file covers every event we book you for going forward.
Is there a fee on card payments at the door?
A 5% service charge applies to card transactions Jubyr LLC processes at the door. It covers Square’s processing fees plus the cost of issuing W9s and payout forms during tax season. It’s waived only if you provide your own dedicated door staff and use a legitimate tap-to-pay platform like Square or Stripe, or mandatory pre-sale ticketing.
Cash App and Venmo are never accepted at the door — they aren’t recognized as legitimate business payment tools, they don’t offer real tap-to-pay, and they make refund requests messy. In practice that means slower lines and problems at the door we’d rather avoid.
The numbers that keep the lights on.
Calculated on gross bar sales during official event hours, and strictly enforced — minimums are what keep the room properly staffed for your night.
Margolis (inside)
If the event does not organically meet the applicable minimum through guest spending during the event timeframe, the event organizer covers the remaining shortage and forfeits payout. Heads up: most Friday and Saturday dates are already held by our resident DJs and are extremely hard to come by — the $5,000 first-time minimum reflects how competitive those nights are.
Friday & Saturday nights (how to run them)
Advertise doors at 9 PM on your flyer and posts, even if your music starts at 10. The $10 happy hour gives your crowd a real reason to come early, and early traffic is what gets a night moving.
The numbers that keep the lights on.
Calculated on gross bar sales during official event hours, and strictly enforced. Due to city regulations, all patio events conclude by 9:00 PM.
The Patio (events end by 9 PM, per city regulations)
Kitchen service: included during standard operating hours Friday and Saturday; available Monday–Thursday and Sunday with a $2,000 total minimum spend. Outside catering is permitted for all patio rentals. Additional servers available with a $200 guarantee per server.
Your home base for the night.
A dedicated, reserved place for your group to land all night — gather, celebrate, and keep a home base in the room.
$200 per couch
A flat fee per couch, required for all reserved seating regardless of bottle purchase. Each couch is good for up to 5 guests.
Your whole couch skips the door
Free admission for all 5 guests is built in — (door price usually runs $10–$25). Bringing more than 5? The extra guests just pay the regular door charge; we keep a tally of your party at check-in.
Handled, start to finish
Line skip at the door, guaranteed reserved seating with priority placement, VIP reservation processing and management, guest communication before the event, and check-in coordination on the night.
Optional, billed separately
Add bottle service if you want it — arranged and billed separately by Margolis. Otherwise couches are seating-only and guests order drinks directly at the bar.
Five ways to run the bar.
Every private event picks a bar model — not sure, we’ll help you choose. Private events are the one exception to our 21+ rule: your guest list, your call.
Bar minimum
A spending minimum is set and guest purchases count toward it. Spend less, the host covers the difference; spend more, nothing extra beyond what’s purchased.
Open bar
The host covers all beverages during the agreed service period. Full bar, or a curated selection of beer, wine, and cocktails.
Consumption tab
A card goes on file with a spending limit. Drinks charge to the tab until the limit is reached, then guests buy their own.
Limited consumption tab
Same as a consumption tab, but only selected beverages are covered — say, beer and wine or a signature cocktail menu.
Cash bar
Guests buy their own drinks all night. Nothing is charged to the host beyond applicable venue minimums or event requirements.
Not sure yet
Pick this on the form and we’ll figure out the best model together.
Booking requirements
Event length and capacity can be expanded only by written agreement in advance.
Cancellations & fees
All fees are due immediately and may be charged to the card on file. The deposit is non-refundable.
Keep the door. Earn the bar.

The ground rules
Read the full guidelines
Event timing. Friday and Saturday late-night events run 10:00 PM–2:00 AM. Fabrika hosts an earlier evening performance on these nights; between 9:00 and 10:00 PM the team performs a full room reset — dinner seating out, VIP tables set, bar and service stations prepped, stage and lighting finalized. Plan your arrival and setup accordingly.
Food. Late-night events can offer VIP table menu options and concession-style service. Food offerings must be confirmed before contract issuance so the kitchen can schedule staffing and prep.
Equipment. Fabrika provides a built-in professional sound system. Promoters and performers bring their own DJ equipment, controllers or mixers, laptops, adapters, and specialty gear — plus two XLR cables to connect to the house system. The technical team will assist with integration.
Promotion. No event promotion may begin until the contract is fully executed — no social posts, ticket sales, listings, or collaborations with Fabrika’s accounts before then.
Confirmation. Food and beverage services are finalized before contract issuance. Final details, timing, and logistics are outlined in the official agreement Fabrika issues after this intake form is submitted.
